Capitol Federal's 119th Year of True Blue® Service

TOPEKA, Kan. – Capitol Federal® renewed its partnership with Highland Park Central Elementary School for a 17th year during a ceremony at the school on Wednesday, October 24th. Through the Partner in Education agreement, first signed in 1996, Capitol Federal employees volunteer to read with students and tutor them in various subjects. Volunteers also help with other school events throughout the year. Capitol Federal Chairman, President and CEO John B. Dicus and Highland Park Central Principal Cleo Gardner signed the agreement with students, faculty and volunteer representatives on hand to witness the event.
“Each year, I am proud of our Capitol Federal employees who mentor their students and truly enjoy the rewards of this continuing partnership with Highland Park Central. Seeing the students’ progress toward their goals is so gratifying to all of us at Capitol Federal,” said Dicus. “Helping the coming generations achieve at a high level is essential to a solid foundation for the future of the community, and Capitol Federal is pleased to play a role in the success of our students.”
Mr. Gardner expressed his gratitude to Capitol Federal and its employees, “Capitol Federal’s commitment to our students and their educational progress is incredibly valuable. They are wonderful role models for our students, and we truly appreciate all Capitol Federal does for our school and our community.”
