As a current user of Bill Payment within Capitol Federal’s Telephone Banking service, we would like to make you aware of a few changes to the service that have taken place as a result of our recent upgrade to True Blue Online® on October 15th, 2012.
 
New Terms and Conditions for Bill Payment have been established.  Please be aware that your first use of Telephone Bill Payment after October 15th, 2012 will constitute your agreement to the new Terms and Conditions for Bill Payment.  These terms may be obtained from any Capitol Federal® branch location or online at www.capfed.com.
 
As you pay bills, please make note that the party to which you make your payments, formerly called the “payee”, will be referred to as the “biller” in the new system.  A Biller Reference List has been sent by mail to each Telephone Banking user for review.  Please take a moment to review the list to verify that all Biller Reference Numbers have remained unchanged.  If any changes are required, please contact Customer Service at 1.888.8CAPFED prior to making any bill payments.  If you do not make changes, your Biller Reference Information will be considered correct upon completion of your first bill payment after October 15th, 2012.
 
Capitol Federal® has changed from a “process date” to a “due date” system for scheduling and processing bill payments.  With the new due date system, your biller will receive payment on the date you select.  Your payment will be sent to the biller prior to the date you select, but your funds will remain in your account until the due date.  Instead of your funds being withdrawn from your account at the beginning of the bill payment process, the money now will leave your account on the due date you select.  When using Telephone Bill Payment to set up your payments, you will be given the opportunity to select a due date for your payment.  For each payment you make, you will be presented with the earliest possible due date available, and then have the opportunity to choose a later due date for your payment.
