Capitol Federal® is pleased to announce the remodeling of the 21st and Fairlawn branch location. Because of the size and scope of the remodel, as well as safety reasons, we will need to temporarily close the branch and ATMs at this location during part of the construction period. We anticipate the renovation will last approximately 90 days. Stay tuned to this page, our eNewsletter Capitol Connections and our Facebook page for further updates.
During the Fairlawn branch construction, please use one of these Topeka locations to serve your banking needs:
June 1, 1964: Topeka's third CapFed® branch office opened at 21st and Fairlawn Road. An original blue-brick building, in 1972, an 875 square-foot addition to the south side brought the square footage to 2,520. Also, due to its popularity with customers, Fairlawn's remote auto teller facilities increased from one to three in 1971. During its more than 50-year history, the office has been led by only four managers - Brad Miller, Mary Carpenter, Nancy Muller and Susan Fickler.
