LAWRENCE, KS – Capitol Federal® celebrated the beginning of construction for its newest full-service branch in Lawrence, KS. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on November 6 for the new CapFed® branch located at 4431 Bauer Farm Drive in Lawrence, KS. In attendance were Lawrence Mayor Lisa Larsen, Lawrence Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Bonnie Lowe, Capitol Federal executive management and other guests.
CEO John B. Dicus said, “70 years ago, Lawrence became the first city Capitol Federal expanded to outside of its home in Topeka. We are excited about this new milestone in our rich history in the Lawrence community. CapFed is dedicated to our customers and communities, and we are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to serve our Lawrence customers at our new Free State branch in 2024.”
The full-service, 3,000 square-foot branch will feature four teller stations, two drive-up lanes and a 24-hour ATM. It will offer a full array of retail, lending, commercial, trust, business banking and insurance services including:
