The new Capitol Federal® Maize Branch proudly celebrated its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting during the last week of June 2018, bringing the total number of CapFed® branches to 48 and marking it as the ninth branch in the Greater Wichita area. The week-long celebration drew in customers eager to participate in the Red, White & True Blue® game, with the chance to win a grand prize of $1,000.
On June 27, 2018, the branch hosted a special Ribbon Cutting ceremony, where CEO John Dicus presented the Maize Education Foundation with a generous check for $20,000 to help launch a financial literacy curriculum. The event was attended by dignitaries from both Wichita and Maize, along with Capitol Federal officers and employees, all coming together to mark the beginning of this new community hub dedicated to financial education and support.
